As you may know that squats have a bad name in the fitness world; many people say that they won’t do them for health reasons and maybe even a few of them are sincere in their beliefs. However, as long as I have been a fitness trainer for, I have come to realize many people don’t want to do them due to their difficulty. Squats are not easy; they are a move the goes into triple-flexion and require that you use your whole body to do them. So they kick the “mess” out of you as a result of this crossing over of so many joints and the awareness that it takes to keep yourself upright while doing them.

This week’s workout will blast your quads and body and will leave you crawling back for more! It is a simple but not easy workout involving the kettlebell front squat where you will do 5 sets of 5 reps, in the shortest time possible with good form. Pick your load and choose your rest. You may rest up to 3 minutes between sets if you are looking for strength and using a heavy load for yourself. If you want to condition and are looking for endurance use a lighter load and rest only up to a minute. The one condition is that you will have two use two kettlebells/ so this workout is not for you yet if you can’t do the kettlebell clean.

  • Do all of your sets and reps with quality form. Crap only produces crap!
  • Breathe by matching your breathing with each pattern
  • Rest as much as you need to and no more.
  • Tough it out while working out ( keep in mind the results)
  • Enjoy the fat blasting effect  and raised metabolism.
