As you may know loaded carries are an incredible exercise to build strength and other awesome fitness qualities. Yet they are simple to do and involve your whole body as you train them. A little while back I did a series on them and how to do them. To see them click here:

Farmer’s walk

Suitcase carry

The Rack carry

The Overhead Carry

These four carry variations are the simple and most basic variations of carries that one can do and are all very effective for building strength, stability, endurance, core work and many other qualities;that are needed for our fitness and health. Today’s workout takes it a step further for those that have done these carries and want a new challenge and or want to correct imbalances in your movement. Or just want to burn fat in a new and effective workout. If you have spent enough time on at least the Farmer’s carry variation and are familiar with its form, you can do today’s workout or you can simply use the regular version to do it as well.

 The Uneven Carry Fat Blaster

This week’s workout is done by doing your walk variation with uneven tools. I recommend using a sandbag if you can, but if you don’t have one use a heavier and a lighter kettlebell.  Grab your implements safely by hinging back and then pick them up in a deadlift. Keep your shoulders down and back and walk with good posture for 50 to 100 steps and do the other side. Keep this going for as many rounds that you can safely do for 10 to 15 minutes.

As Always here are your guidelines for success:

  • Do all of your sets and reps with quality form. Crap only produces crap!
  • Breathe by matching your breathing with each pattern
  • Rest as much as you need to and no more.
  • Tough it out while working out ( keep in mind the results)
  • Enjoy the fat blasting effect  and raised metabolism.
  • If you can get some friends to join you, so that you can mess with them as friends are supposed to!
Prepare to be challenged and to begin to see changes in your body as you eat well and train with this and our other Weekly Workouts with our brand of fitness!
