the desert diablo

Winter is upon us and it has been cold and snowy in the northeast where we are located. Not too long ago KIWK SJ instructor Mark Mellohusky went to Arizona and created this workout: The Devastating Desert Diablo Complex.
I decided to make it our workout of the week as a means to deal with the cold weather. Simply by pretending that we are in the desert as the title entails,I hope it helps!(lol)

Enough about the cold let’s get into how to do today’s workout.

Kettlebells-Sandbags and Bodyweight Exercises. A devastating combination for turbo charging your fitness program and putting you on the path to quick results.

Say Hello to Super Lean Muscle and Goodbye to unhealthy Fat when you include this supreme workout into your fitness universe

It is done by doing:
3  Chinups
2 Sandbag Clean & Presses (kettlebells are also ok)
Kettlebell Farmer’s Walk

These three exercises completed in succession is considered a round
Set the clock for 10 Minutes and do as many rounds as you can with good form.

The guidelines for success:

KIWK workout of the week- the drop down

  • Do all of your sets and reps with quality form. Crap only produces crap!
  • Breathe by matching your breathing with each pattern
  • Rest as much as you need to and no more.
  • Tough it out while working out ( keep in mind the results)
  • Enjoy the fat blasting effect  and raised metabolism.

So enjoy your time in the gym again and as a result have more time for the things that  matter and the energy needed to handle them.
