This week’s workout of the week is a body weight strength training. Before you run and deem it as ineffective let me say that it is a good one. It is perfectly useful if you have minimal time and want maximum results and or you live on the road. Also for my friends that want a change of pace or a time to de-load this is also for you. So Enjoy the fat blasting and strength building.

A Dan John inspired workout that is deceptive in it’s simplicity, yet hits every part of the body!


Set the clock for 15 minutes

Do 2 chin ups, 3 pushups, 3 squats in succession (This is a round)

Rest 1 minute between rounds

Do as many rounds as you can in 15 minutes

When choosing a weight to squat, start with something that would be a challenge for you to do 8-10 reps as a general rule of thumb.

Challenge yourself, but don’t go to failure on any of these movements – increase your rest period if necessary.

As you get better, reduce your rest periods & shoot for getting in more rounds in the 15 minute time period before loading up with a lot of weight on the squat

Enjoy the strength,conditioning and fat blasting benefits of this complex as the low reps and high rounds force you to pay attention to performing safe, QUALITY repetitions!
